I love being an artist, but when you also have a 'day job' it's difficult to bring out the easel and do a painting. I've spent many days at work doing mindless doodles wishing I was home painting.
One day I decided to stop scribbling and spend 15 to 20 minutes and do at least one nice drawing or sketch a day.
Below you will see a few of my more productive 'doodles.'

"Silver Teapot" won two awards in October exhibitions

I think it's cool just to draw whatever you see around you; in this case, the keys that were lying on my desk. (Pen & Ink)

My lunch.... (colored pencil)

I photographed this very snoopy bird dog one day when I was plein air painting. He was a very happy and curious dog, wading in the creek and exploring....I named this drawing "Snoop Doggin'"

Autumn leaf...I picked this up on the sidewalkloved the multi-colors

It's amazing the beauty you can find in ordinary things. (colored pencil and ink)

A Twig from my Mom's Cottonwood Tree
A little painting I did on Saturday
On this page, I will post the sketch of the day...or WHAT I DID ON MY BREAK TODAY!
A small sketch or mini portrait, matted and framed would make a wonderful gift. Email me your favorite photo and I can create an inexpensive piece of art for your collection.
